Schur-Weyl duality is a mathematical theorem in representation theory that relates irreducible fifinite-dimensional representations of the general linear and symmetric groups. The quantum Schur¨CWeyl duality is the quantum version of the Schur¨CWeyl duality. The key ingredient of the duality is the quantum Schur algebras, whose classical version was introduced by I. Schur over a hundred years ago. In this lecture we will talk about quantum Schur¨CWeyl duality and related topics.
