Multiferroics : Past, present and future
Abstract£º
Multiferroics are the materials in which ferromagnetism,ferroelectricity , ferroelasticity occur in the same phase. Becuase of this extraordinary behavior along with several technological applications , attracted the attention of the scientific community. In view of this, an effort will be made to ontroduce the concept of Multiferrocs, especially for the beginners / general audience. A sytematic explanation of different types of multiferroics along with their interesting propoerties and applications will be carried out.

»ã±¨È˼ò½é(Ó¢ÎÄ)£ºProf. P. Venugopal Reddy, Fellow of A.P. Academy of Sciences, has been working on various types of materials such as ferrites, metallic glasses, High Tc superconductors, Colossal Magneto Resistive manganites, Diluted magnetic semiconductors, manganite based multiferroics etc., at Dept. of Physics, Osmania University for the last 30 years. He has published more than 150 papers in International Journals and successfully completed 12 research projects funded by various funding agencies. 17 students were awarded Ph.Ds under his supervision and he is having three patents based on various aspects of ferrite materials. He has been teaching Condensed Matter Physics to post graduate students for the last 20 years. He is also author of three books. He has visited no. of countries including USA, Italy, Japan, France, Singapore and Malaysia. Dr. Reddy is currently a senior visiting Professor at University of Technology, Mara, Malaysia. He is also a senior editor of an International Journal- Physics express.
