»ã±¨ÌáÒª£ºThe representations of quantum toroidal algebras appear in geometry, topology, and integrable systems. This fascinating representation theory has been extensively studied in the last decade by many mathematicians and physicists. While we still understand very little, it is known that there is a class of highest weight representations of quantum toroidal algebras of type A with a beautiful combinatorial description in terms of plane partitions with various boundary conditions. In this talk, I will try to present a gentle introduction to the quantum toroidal algebras and their representation theory. For the purposes of this talk I will use q-characters as the main tool.
