»ã±¨ÌáÒª: In this network-connected world, many tasks require coordination and cooperation of subsystems/agents via network connection. Multi-agent systems are good examples of interplay between network communication and control applications. Distributed algorithms have been developed based multi-agent systems for distributed optimization which aims at making decisions in local level, and achieving certain global optimization task through network communications. Algorithms and cost functions for distributed optimization would expect to be different from their centralized counterparts. This talk will cover some fundamental concepts for distributed optimization based on consensus principle, and details for algorithm design. Applications in resource management for several different tasks in smart grids will be demonstrated, including optimization of charge station for electrical vehicles, cooperative optimal control of battery energy storage system etc. The technical issues such as avoiding use of the global network connectivity and reduction of communication rate by event trigger mechanisms will also be covered.
